Crocs Launches Limited-Edition "Keep It Going Classic Clog" to Boost Circularity Efforts

Crocs, a global leader in innovative casual footwear, has taken another significant step toward its sustainability goals with the launch of the limited-edition "Keep It Going Classic Clog." These new clogs incorporate 25% post-consumer recycled content, sourced from shoes collected through the brand's "Old Crocs. New Life" consumer takeback program.

The introduction of the Keep It Going Classic Clog follows Crocs' recent achievement of integrating 25% bio-circular content into its Croslite material portfolio, which includes the iconic Classic Clog and many other styles. By utilizing bio-circular content, Crocs is repurposing plant-based byproducts that would otherwise go to waste, demonstrating its commitment to innovative material use and sustainability.

Deanna Bratter, Chief Sustainability Officer at Crocs, expressed gratitude to customers who participated in the takeback program: “This type of circularity program only works when consumers engage and are willing to do some good in the world together. Fueled by our fans, we are making strides in our ambition to create more circular systems of production and consumption, ultimately delivering on our commitment to bring Comfort for the Planet.”

Since launching the "Old Crocs. New Life" pilot program last October and expanding it nationwide in May, Crocs has been actively collecting shoes at retail locations and through online mail-back kits. Gently used Crocs that are still wearable are donated to Soles4Souls, an international non-profit focused on creating economic opportunities in communities worldwide. Shoes that cannot be reused are processed and deconstructed into post-consumer recycled materials for future use, including in the new Keep It Going Classic Clog.

Available online and at select U.S. retail locations, the Keep It Going Classic Clog features a color named Moon Dust, characterized by an almond base with visible specs of recycled materials from the takeback program. Each clog is uniquely made due to its recycled components, and subtle design elements, such as "Keep It Going" inscribed on the backstrap, highlight the role fans play in Crocs' sustainability journey. Remarkably, this limited-edition clog is offered at the same accessible price as the Classic Clog.

Crocs remains dedicated to finding circular solutions to minimize waste throughout manufacturing, distribution, and the product lifecycle, all while promoting a more sustainable footwear economy.
