H&M Unveils A/W 2024 Collection with a Nod to Mid-Century Glamour

H&M is set to revitalize its fashion offerings with the launch of its Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, debuting on September 12th in select stores and online at hm.com. This season's collection brings a fresh take on H&M's fashion identity, characterized by rich tones, captivating details, and design-centric silhouettes.

Drawing inspiration from the timeless elegance of mid-century design, deep, sophisticated wood hues, the allure of classic Hollywood, and the evolution of fashion trends, each piece in the collection tells its own distinct story.

“This collection is full of many special inspirations and quality materials. The leather, the knits, the sparkly separates – together the pieces showcase the strength of H&M’s fashion ability. It’s all about truly great clothes: real wardrobe icons. The campaign lets the fashion shine.” Eliana Masgalos, Womenswear Design Director, H&M

The A/W 2024 campaign, helmed by photographer Sam Rock and director Albert Moya, showcases a diverse lineup of musicians, models, and cultural figures. The campaign celebrates individuality and personal style, featuring contemporary icons such as Charli XCX, Arca, Lila Moss, Ajus Samuel, Loli Bahia, Wali Deutsch, Okay Kaya, Bibi Breslin, Alewya, Sage Elsesser, Sega Bodega, and Lux Gillespie. This roster embodies H&M’s commitment to fashion and self-expression.

The collection highlights a mid-century influence through its tailored suiting, including boxy jackets and micro skirts. Vintage elements are evident in leather and heirloom-style mesh dresses, while luxurious materials like leather and suede enhance the collection's opulence.

The knitwear features stretch wool skirt suits, and must-have matching vests and shorts, with a color palette ranging from caramel to deep mahogany, complemented by oxblood, green, black, and white. Accessories include heeled pumps with round toes, studded loafers, furry slip-ons, and structured bags. Jewelry varies from minimalistic and angular to unique and earthy, with belts emphasizing assertive femininity.

For men, the collection offers a blend of classic tailoring and opulence. Key pieces include oxblood and cool steel-toned suits, a mid-length leather trench, and a lurex tweed workwear jacket. These items merge utility with individuality, reflecting H&M’s ethos of accessible, stylish fashion for all.

Jörgen Andersson, Creative Director at H&M, commented, "The A/W 2024 collection is all about celebrating great fashion. With music being a realm of experimentation and self-expression, it’s fitting for H&M to honor the intersection of style, sound, and individuality."

To launch the collection, H&M will host a grand event in London featuring a performance by Charli XCX and DJ sets by Jamie xx and Sherelle. Embracing its inclusive spirit, the event will be open to the public, with customers invited to participate through social media and member competitions.
